Fuutlaan 39

Gabriel Mozes van Gelderen was born on February 5, 1875 in Deventer. He is slager by profession. In the spring of 1901, he married Sophia Palm. The couple have four children: Maurits, Samuel. Henriette Rosa and Marcus. Their mother Sophia died in 1932.
After the death of his wife, Gabriel, who has lived in Deventer all this time, moved to Eindhoven. His children are already adults. He comes into contact with Francisca Rosenberg. Francisca Rosenberg was born on June 27, 1888 in Zevenaar. Her father is a skin trader. She has four sisters and a brother.
Sometime in the thirties, Francisca moved from The Hague to Eindhoven. She married the widower Gabriel Mozes van Gelderen. The couple moves into a house on Fuutlaan.
Shortly after the outbreak of the war, the Van Gelderen couple had to leave the house in Fuutlaan on the orders of the authorities and live with the Wijnbergen family in 39 Guido Gezellestraat. This is also where Salomon Meiboom lives. There is a suspicion that Gabriel and Francisca later went to a hiding place. The fact is that Gabriel Mozes van Gelderen died in Eindhoven on February 9, 1943.
Two months later, on April 10, 1943, Francisca Rosenberg-van Gelderen arrived in Vught. She was taken to Westerbork on 24 May to be deported to Sobibor the following day. There she was murdered immediately after arrival on May 28, 1943.
