Molenstraat 69 Oss
Clara Rozetta den Hartog was born on February 22, 1920 in Oss. Her father, Simon den Hartog, was born in Alblasserdam on April 17, 1892 and was a factory director. He was married to Elvira Clara Goudsmit, born on April 5, 1890 in Venlo. Clara had an older brother Joël Charles, born in 1919. The family lived at 69 Molenstraat in Oss. Clara was transferred from prison to camp Vught on February 12, 1943. She had probably been in hiding, arrested and therefore imprisoned. On March 31, 1943 she was sent from Vught to camp Westerbork. She was only there briefly, because on 6 April 1943 transport to Sobibór follows. On the transport list, Clara is listed as a criminal case, probably because she was a arrested person in hiding. On arrival in Sobibór, she probably belonged to a small group of young and unmarried women selected for work. Most of these women had to help sort clothes. Clara den Hartog eventually died in Sobibór on October 13, 1943, a day before the uprising broke out. Clara was 23 at the time. Her parents and brother survived the war. http://struikelsteenoss.blogspot.com/p/mgr-vd-boerpark.html
