Sophie / Lita leaves for New York in 1938 with her husband Martin Bendix Loeser, who is a securities broker. They have two sons. Lita died in 2004 at the age of 99. Dora leaves with her husband, the banker Jacob Hendrik (Jaap) Kann, to Huizen. Dora is asthmatic and had TB. She dies in the war. Her husband died in the war, but their four children survive and are raised by their grandmother Juliette. Ine Rose / Ineke, the youngest daughter, leaves for Overschie with the manufacturer Arnold John van den Bergh, they have four children. The children, born between 1939 and 1942, went into hiding with different families and survived the war. The parents also survived and after the war the whole family spent some time in the Kerkedennen country house of grandmother Juliette, so that the children could get to know each other and form a family. In 1948 they move to Wassenaar. Son Dirk Jacobus continues to live with his parents in the villa Spoorstraat or Tichelkamp on the Stationsstraat, this villa has now been demolished. When the war starts, father Isaac is a former director and at that time Commissioner of Spanjaard. He is also a councilor for the Municipal Interest party, and chairman of Ziekenzorg, a spin-off of the Witgele Kruis. During the war, Isaac and Juliette move to Hengelo, to live with Juliette's mother, although the intention is to choose Borne as residence again soon, '' said an announcement in the Bornsche courant. Son Dirk and his English wife Joyce Rendall, who married in 1939, move with them. Later, Isaac still feels compelled to go into hiding. He does this with the Ruepert family in Borne, where he died of a stroke in 1944. Because it is too dangerous to report his death, he is buried in the chicken coop. After the war he is put on the Jewish cemetery. Dirk, like his second cousin Johan / Hanny, gets the chance to become a director, but he turns out to be unsuitable for this and becomes department manager at Spanjaard. Dirk's heart was much more about making music. He was arrested during the raids in September 1941 in Hengelo, together with his Johan, and he also died a short time later at Hartheim Castle near Mauthausen. Dirk's wife, their son Jeroen, born in May 1941, and his mother Juliette survive the war.
