Selma (Sara) Citroen (sister of Nathan and daughter of Carel and Naatje Citroen-Degen) was engaged on October 6, 1940 and married on 27 May 1942 to Heinz (Heinrich) Rosenthal.

On Tuesday, July 8, 1942, Selma and Heinz receive a call to report. A week later July 14, 1942 they have to go to Germany. Selma and Heinz were probably still in Westerbork on Wednesday 12 July 1943, a week before Nathan Citroen, her brother, arrives there.

On Thursday, July 16, 1942, the Citroen family receives a map from Selma and Heinz with the message below. "Arrived well, immediately forwarded, everything in order". No more message then received.

On September 30, 1942, both were murdered in Auschwitz.
