Levie Frenkel was a son of Andries Frenkel and Saartje printer. He married Rosette Bos on 4 May 1921 in Amsterdam, a daughter of Isaac Bos and Vogeltje Lier. Levie and Rosette had three children together, t.w. Andries Louis Frenkel and Isidoor Louis Frenkel and Henri Arthur Frenkel
On 10 October 1929, however, Levie's wife Rosette Bos died, after which Levie remarried on 11 February 1931 with Rebecca Frenkel-Rodrigues Garcia, a daughter of Elias Rodrigues Garcia and Rachel Leeda.
From the second marriage their daughter Rosette Sara Frenkel was born in 1932.
Levie Frankel arrived in Westerbork via a Jewish labor camp in the Netherlands on 2 or 3 October. From here he was deported from Westerbork to Auschwitz on 24-11-1942. On 26-11 the train stopped in Cosel (the current Polish Koźle) where 70 men between 15 and 55, including Levie, were selected for forced labor in the camps of the Schmelt Organization. After the selection in Cosel, Levie went successively to the camps Sankt Annaberg (26-11), Sakrau (2-12), Seibersdorf (14-1-1943) and last Ottmuth, a labor camp at the OTA (expropriated Bata) Schoenfabriek. From Ottmuth, Levie was taken away with a sick transport, it is unknown whether this transport to Auschwitz-Birkenau or went to another health camp within the organization Schmelt.
