Slachthuisstraat 11 Sint-Truiden
Spouse of Mrs. Maria Nicolay, residing Slachthuisstraat, 11, with his son Roland. He was born in St Truiden on the 20th June 1908.
Professional soldier with the 18th Artillery, Jenné took part in the operations of 1940. He faithfully joined his oath immediately after his return to N.K.B. and A.D., until May 25, 1943.
Breendonk, the martyr camp, then Essen and Esterwegen, Börgermoor and Gross-Strehlitz to Laband with their hardships and torture: everything was overcome, free, finally free again. I will be home again, see wife and child again; i am sick and extremely weak but i am free and go home! This is how Guillaume must have reasoned after his liberation by the Allies from the camp of terror and death.
He got to Thionville, but could not go any further and entered the hospital; severely ill, so exhausted that he could no longer write, barely giving his name and address, he was then ascended, aided by the Lord Pastor of the parish there, softly and quietly, lonely but left on the 15th of May 1945 around 4 pm.
