Joseph Andriesse was born on April 1, 1880 in Eindhoven. Henriëtte Andriesse was born on September 11, 1889 in Veghel. Joseph and Henriëtte share the same surname; their grandfathers are brothers. Joseph is a cattle dealer.
The couple married for a civil marriage on February 27, 1914 in Veghel and had three children: Rosina, born on April 19, 1915, Haenri Napoleon, born on April 28, 1918 and Elisabeth Catharina, born on January 21, 1924.
Joseph and Henriëtte Andriesse, then sixty-three and fifty-three years old, arrive in Westerbork on April 10, 1943. A month later, on May 11, 1943, they were deported to Sobibor. They were murdered there on May 14, 1943.
Their daughter Elisabeth is a shorthand typist by trade. In 1942 she went into hiding and is wanted by the police. She is arrested and arrives in Westerbork on August 7, 1943. On August 24, she is deported to Auschwitz. Here she was murdered on arrival on August 27, 1943.
Daughter Rosina works for the Philips-Kommando in Vught and was deported to Auschwitz on 3 June 1944, together with the other employees of the Philips-Kommando.
Rosina, like her brother Henri Napoleon, survived the war.
