Meta Edie Coltof, a daughter of Salomon Coltof and Clara Emma de Beer, was born on November 9, 1909 in Den Helder. She married the dentist Isidore Emanuel van Moppes there on August 28, 1934, who was born in Amsterdam on July 11, 1907. The couple had two children, namely: on August 7, 1935 Greta Clara and on May 10, 1939 Clara followed Mirjam. They lived in Amsterdam at Noorder Amstellaan 304 hs and from mid-August 1939 at Stadionweg 88. The entire family of Isidore Emanuel van Moppes was deported to Westerbork in August 1942, from where they would be deported on September 1. However, their deportation was postponed because there was no transport on September 1. But on September 11, their transport to Auschwitz continued and arrived there on September 14, 1942. Upon arrival, Meta Edie van Moppes-Coltof and her daughters Greta Clara and Clara Mirjam van Moppes were immediately murdered in the gas chambers of Auschwitz-Birkenau. Isidore Emanuel van Moppes, on the other hand, survived Auschwitz. Upon arrival, he was probably put to work as a forced laborer and was eventually able to return from Auschwitz via Marseille to Amsterdam, where he had a living space at Johannes Verhulststraat 139 on January 30, 1946. Isisore Emanuel van Moppes married again in Amsterdam on August 29, 1946 and was married to his new wife two children.
