Emil Rosendahl and Elisa Rosendahl-Uhlmann lived at Schapendrift 40, formerly 6d, in Blaricum. Emil was born in Barmen, Germany, in 1871 and worked as a cattle trader in Wuppertal. He married Elisa Uhlmann, born in Hunteburg in 1875. They had three children: Mary, Henriette and Fritz. Mary and Henriette emigrated to the United States in time, while Fritz fled to the Netherlands. Emil and Elisa also escaped Nazi Germany in 1938 and settled in Blaricum, first with Fritz at Capittenweg 36 and later nearby at Schapendrift 6d. In 1943 they were forced to move to Amsterdam, but in reality they were deported via Westerbork to Sobibor. They were murdered there on 23 April 1943. Their son Fritz, his wife and daughters were also victims of the Holocaust.
