Survived the war and now lives under a different name in Israel
Werner Rudolf Breslauer was a photographer and lithographer and married to Bella Weihsmann. The couple had three children: Stefan, Max Michael and Ursula. Ursula survived the war. The family originally lived in Leipzig, but fled to the Netherlands in 1938. They settled in Leiden, where Werner went to work for a printing company. In the summer of 1940, non-Dutch Jews had to leave Leiden because the city was too close to the sea. The Breslauer family then first moved to a guest house in Alphen aan de Rijn and soon went to Utrecht. Eventually they were deported to Theresienstadt via Westerbork and from there to Auschwitz.
