Abraham Muller, born in Groningen in 1905, worked as a warehouse hand and shop assistant. On 5 September 1934 he married Kaatje Dwinger, born in Rotterdam in 1906, in Rotterdam. Their daughter Esther Keetje was born there on 6 July 1938. In October 1940 the family moved to Schiedam and on 5 February 1941 to Sperwerstraat 21 in Haarlem.
In the night of 25 to 26 August 1942 the family went to Westerbork with the first transport of Jews from Haarlem. On 28 August they were deported to Auschwitz. On the way Abraham was probably taken off the train at Kosel with other men, for forced labour. He died on 30 April 1943 at the latest, aged 37. Kaatje, aged 35, and Esther, aged 4, were murdered on arrival in Auschwitz on 31 August 1942. On 10 September 1942 officials listed what had been left in the house. The list includes Esther's toys: a doll's table, two doll's chairs and a doll's pram.
